An Apple for the Teacher

Artist's comment: This literally is an apple for the teacher. I painted this as a thank you gift for my daughter Sadie's teacher, Jen Hambrock, at the end of the 2004 school year when she finishes teaching my youngest daughter. Jen collects apple paraphernalia. All of my three children have had her, Sadie for two years, and she has instilled such wonderful things in them, a love of and excitement for learning, curiosity, creativity, and divergent and independent thinking. She's wonderful.
