Getting There

My friend, Bruce McMillan,
a children's author and photo-illustrator,
sends daily virtual postcards to his friends.
His original verse is accompanied by his photography.
They are SO glorious, I am tempted to paint every image!
But since I try to work from life or my own references,
I try VERY hard to resist this urge.
Sometimes I succeed...
and sometimes I end up contacting Bruce and asking his permission to paint from an image of his.
Lucky for me, he always says yes
...so far.
