Let Me Halve It
Artist's comment: On January 18, 2005, my daughter Sadie finally got her set of seventy-two soft pastels that had been back ordered before Christmas. She'd been anxious to get them so when she got home from school we painted together at the kitchen table. She let me use her pastels. They're from my art supply place, but student grade of course. Wow, what a big difference it makes using beginner materials. I did a little painting of a kiwi that I'd sliced in half. Even on the sanded paper we were using, I couldn't do a thing with them that I'm so used to doing with my professional pastels. It was just for fun but I liked it and finished it using my pastels.
