My neighbor's farm, right across the road from me in Dixmont, is a twelve-acre diverse organic vegetable farm. Mark Guzzi runs it. He is a member of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. MOFGA, which was founded in 1971 and has grown from a loose affiliation of farmers and gardeners committed to growing healthy, chemical free food, to an internationally recognized advocate for food production that enhances and protects the ecological as well as economic vitality of rural communities such as Dixmont. After about 3.5 miles, turn right onto North Road (at the top of a hill). Peacemeal Farm is on the left at about 2 or 2.5 miles, right across the street from Brenda.
