'Tis the Season
in Gallery 2002
When we first moved to Dixmont around 1987, our across-the-street neighbor was a wonderful eccentric artist named Freda. She has since passed away. Freda loved color and always got great pleasure looking out her window at our Christmas lights. She asked us if we would leave them up until she spotted the first crocus of Spring. That way she would always see color out her window. Of course, we did. So the Fergusons were always the last people to have their Christmas tree lights on, right into the early spring.
