Pastel Painting with Brenda Plein Air Workshops

What: Combining the use of demonstration, individual and group instruction, and interaction we will explore together the process of using soft pastels to capture the essence of a subject. Where: Dixmont, Maine's rural setting. Weather permitting we will paint outdoors. If not, I have alternate indoor plans. When: Weekday Summer Workshop. Wed/Thurs/Fri, August 8, 9, & 10, 2007 All sessions run from 9:00am-4:00pm Registration Deadlines: Two weeks prior to the first day of each workshop session Summer Workshop: July 25, 2007 Printable Registration Form (PDF File) All skill levels welcome Ages 15-150 Lodging: Try the following sites for nearby places: Historic Bangor Twenty-five minutes (twenty-three miles) north of the workshop, a quick drive with forest views on the Interstate highway. Bangor area Bed and Breakfasts or Bangor area Hotels and Motels Coastal Belfast Thirty-five minutes (twenty-five miles) southeast of the workshop, a lovely leisurely drive through the rural countryside and villages. Belfast area Bed and Breakfasts or Belfast area Hotels and Motels Artist's Materials: Paticipant's responsiblity. A suggested list of materials and sources that Brenda uses will be sent upon registration. Lunch: Included daily. Price: $330 for three-day August workshop. Workshop Size: Five maximum. Minimum number of participants in order to hold the workshop is two. Should the response be overwhelming, a additional workshop may be added.
