| Welcome | |
| On a drizzly Saturday afternoon in April, patrons gathered at the Bangor Public Library for an afternoon filled with color. | |

![]() They came to view art... and they came to create art. |
![]() Our daughter Sadie came along to help. At one point, she was 'starving!' Not to worry, Sadie. We had plenty of still lifes to munch on. |
![]() We set up still life stations throughout the Stairwell Gallery. |
![]() And invited people to come and try pastels. No experience necessary. |
![]() At 1:00 folks began gathering. They came with an open mind, a willingness to try, and a desire to create. They were provided with drawing boards, sanded paper and trays of soft pastels. |
![]() After sharing a few tips, |
![]() everyone chose a comfortable spot and began playing. |
There was time for individual assistance and for asking and answering lots of questions about pastels. |
![]() Some painted, some browsed... |
![]() |
![]() ...and all enjoyed themselves. |
| Thanks to all who attended. Your enthusiasm is inspiring. |
| And thanks to Sadie, the official photographer of the event, whose help not only makes things flow smoothly, but makes everything more fun. |
