Wild Berries Abstract
This is the scratch/test pad from outside
the painting area that shows the colors used.

Bína picking blueberries by a Glacier
on the south coast of Iceland.
August 2002
These two paintings are in the collection of the noted Icelandic blueberry pickers, Jakobína "Bína" Vilhemsdóttir (above) and her husband, Ólafur "Óli" Ólafsson. They are seen below, August 30, 2003, unwrapping their painting at their home in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland.

Private Collection

These are little personal glimpses of me. I love to use the little antique dishes, platters, and saucers that I've inherited or picked up at antique shops to hold my pastel palette for each painting. It's just one of those simple pleasures for me, like owning a big basket of wool yarn or using nice thick handmade papers and a smooth flowing beautiful pen to write with.
